Community Guidelines
Fund Community First is built on principles of trust, transparency, and community impact. These guidelines ensure campaigns, supporters, and sponsors participate in a safe, respectful, and accountable environment.
These rules apply to everyone using fundcommunityfirst.ca:
- Campaign Creators
- Supporters / Donors
- Sponsors
- Affiliates
- Site visitors
Violations may result in suspension, removal of campaigns, or account termination.
1. Be Respectful
Everyone must:
- Communicate kindly and professionally
- Avoid harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or personal attacks
- Respect cultural, racial, and religious differences
- Respond to inquiries in a civil and timely manner
Abusive or threatening behavior will not be tolerated.
2. Campaign Integrity
Campaign Creators must:
- Clearly and honestly describe goals, funding needs, and plans
- Provide accurate and non-deceptive information
- Avoid exaggeration, false claims, or misleading statements
You may not:
- Misrepresent identities, facts, or affiliations
- Manipulate outcomes through fake donations
- Engage in fraudulent or deceptive behavior
3. Transparency
Campaign Creators are expected to:
- Update supporters on major milestones
- Disclose delays or challenges honestly
- Show accurate use of funds
- Provide receipts or documentation when required (e.g., Verified Spending™ or escrow)
Supporters should:
- Review campaign descriptions before contributing
- Ask questions respectfully
- Understand that project outcomes vary
4. Prohibited Content
You may NOT create or promote campaigns that:
- Encourage or celebrate hate, violence, extremism, or discrimination
- Involve illegal activities or regulated products (e.g., firearms, tobacco, drugs)
- Impersonate other people, businesses, or organizations
- Offer equity, financial returns, or investment opportunities
- Include false, harmful, or defamatory statements
- Violate intellectual property rights
Failure to comply may lead to immediate removal.
5. Rewards & Perks
Campaign rewards must be:
- Clearly described
- Realistic and deliverable
- Honored by the Campaign Creator
Campaign Creators may NOT:
- Offer financial returns or cash-equivalent rewards disguised as “perks”
- Distribute rewards they do not own or have rights to
Fund Community First is not responsible for reward fulfillment.
6. User Conduct
All users agree to:
- Avoid spamming or solicitation unrelated to campaigns
- Avoid misusing comments, updates, or community spaces
- Protect the privacy of other users
- Not engage in phishing, hacking, or security exploits
- Not collect personal data without consent
Misuse of platform features or communication tools is prohibited.
7. Trust Features & Verification
Some campaigns may use trust badges such as:
- Verified Spending™
- Escrow Services
- Surplus Disbursement Participant
Users must not:
- Misuse badges
- Falsely claim membership in a trust tier
- Upload fabricated receipts, invoices, or proof-of-spend
- Circumvent documentation rules
Abuse of trust features may result in suspension or legal action.
8. Sponsorship Integrity
Sponsors must:
- Provide accurate business information
- Supply logos and assets they own or have rights to
- Avoid misleading claims about partnership status
- Not submit inappropriate or offensive brand materials
Fund Community First may remove or reject sponsor assets violating these rules.
9. Reporting Harmful or Suspicious Activity
You should report:
- Misleading campaigns
- Suspicious donations
- Abuse or harassment
- Fraudulent or harmful behavior
- Intellectual property violations
- Safety concerns
How to report:
- Email info@fundcommunityfirst.ca
- Use the “Report” link on campaign pages
- Use the Support Form (if available)
All reports are reviewed confidentially.
10. Violations & Enforcement
Fund Community First may:
- Remove campaigns
- Suspend or terminate accounts
- Withhold or freeze campaign funds
- Limit access to certain platform features
- Report illegal activity to authorities
- Request additional verification
Decisions are made at Fund Community First’s discretion.
11. Building a Community of Trust
Fund Community First is more than a platform.
It is a collective effort to:
- empower communities
- support meaningful causes
- ensure fair and safe fundraising
- foster positive local impact
Your adherence to these Guidelines helps protect the integrity of every campaign.
These Community Guidelines apply in addition to the Supporter & Sponsor Terms, Campaign Creator Terms, and Affiliate Terms of Use.
