Roots of Change – Farming & Housing Co-op for Single Mothers in Kenya

Description

Imagine being a single mother in rural Kenya — no income, no land, no home. Now imagine a life where you grow food, live in dignity, and raise your children in safety.

That’s the vision of “Roots of Change.”

We are purchasing a 10-acre plot of fertile farmland to build a farming cooperative and housing community for single women and their children.

The first phase of the project includes:

Securing the land title and fencing the farm

Installing a borehole for clean water

Building 1 eco-friendly home for a single mother and her children

Launching the first income-generating crops (vegetables, poultry, and goats)

Once successful, we will build additional homes ($40,000 each) and expand the cooperative to include up to 10 women and their families.
