1. About the Platform and Operator

Fund Community First is a community crowdfunding platform operated by 13710645 Canada Ltd, a federally incorporated Canadian corporation, with operations in Nova Scotia.

Nexus Mart and NorthStar Support Services are additional operating brands of the same legal entity.

These Supporter & Sponsor Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your participation on the platform as a supporter, donor, contributor, or sponsor. By completing any payment or contribution through the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Scope of These Terms

These Terms apply to all payments made through Fund Community First, including but not limited to:

  • Donations
  • Campaign contributions
  • Community donations
  • Campaign Listing Sponsorships
  • Bulk Campaign Listing Sponsorships
  • Platform support payments

Campaign Creators are governed separately under the Campaign Creator Terms and Conditions.

If there is any conflict between campaign-specific disclosures and these Terms, these Supporter & Sponsor Terms prevail for supporters and sponsors.

3. Definitions

  • Platform / Fund Community First — The crowdfunding platform operated by 13710645 Canada Ltd.
  • Campaign Creator — An individual or organization launching a campaign.
  • Supporter / Donor — An individual or entity contributing funds without promotional placement.
  • Sponsor — A business or individual purchasing promotional placement on a campaign.
  • Campaign Listing Sponsorship — A paid promotional placement on an active campaign page.
  • Bulk Campaign Listing Sponsorship — A multi-placement or package-based sponsorship.
  • Reward / Perk — A non-financial thank-you item offered by a Campaign Creator.

4. Donations & Contributions

  • Donations are voluntary and non-refundable.
  • Donations do not provide equity, ownership, voting rights, or financial returns.
  • Fund Community First does not guarantee campaign success, outcomes, or delivery of rewards.
  • Contributions are made at the supporter’s own discretion and risk.

5. Rewards & Thank-You Gifts (If Offered)

Some campaigns may offer non-financial rewards or thank-you gifts. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Rewards are the sole responsibility of the Campaign Creator or issuing business
  • Rewards are not guaranteed
  • Fund Community First is not responsible for:
    • Shipping delays
    • Product quality
    • Non-delivery
    • Gift card acceptance or redemption
    • Failure of promised experiences

Any disputes related to rewards must be resolved directly with the Campaign Creator or issuing business.

6. Gift Cards, Digital Credits & Vouchers

If a campaign offers digital or physical gift cards, credits, or vouchers:

  • They must be honored by the issuing business
  • Fund Community First is not the issuer
  • Lost, stolen, expired, or unredeemed cards are not the platform’s responsibility
  • Redemption terms are set by the issuing business

7. Transparency & Campaign Information

Supporters agree to:

  • Review campaign descriptions, badges, disclosures, and updates before contributing
  • Understand that Fund Community First does not independently verify every claim

Some campaigns may use optional transparency features, including:

  • Verified Spending™
  • Escrow services
  • Surplus disbursement participation

These features enhance transparency but do not guarantee performance or outcomes.

8. Sponsorship Terms

(Campaign Listing Sponsorships & Bulk Listings)

8.1 Nature of Sponsorship

  • Sponsorships are advertising placements, not donations
  • Sponsorships do not qualify for charitable tax receipts

8.2 Placement & Display

  • Sponsor logos, names, and links are displayed on active campaign listings
  • Placement remains visible while the campaign remains live
  • Rotation, visibility, and frequency depend on platform configuration
  • No minimum impressions, clicks, or performance metrics are guaranteed

8.3 Pricing & Taxes

  • Prices are listed exclusive of GST/HST, unless stated otherwise
  • Sponsors are responsible for all applicable taxes

8.4 Assets & Rights

You grant Fund Community First a non-exclusive license to display your:

  • Logo
  • Business name
  • Website URL

You confirm you hold all necessary rights to the materials supplied.

8.5 Brand Safety & Removal

Fund Community First reserves the right to remove or reject sponsorship placements for:

  • Policy violations
  • Trademark or intellectual property concerns
  • Offensive, misleading, or inappropriate content

8.6 Refunds (Sponsorships)

  • Sponsorship fees are non-refundable once placement goes live
  • If a platform error prevents display for more than 48 consecutive hours, remedies may include:
    • Placement extension, or
    • Credit toward future sponsorship

No cash refunds are provided.

9. Refunds, Chargebacks & Disputes

  • Donations are non-refundable
  • Sponsorships are non-refundable once live
  • Duplicate payments or verified fraud may be refunded at our discretion
  • Filing a chargeback does not override these Terms

Fund Community First’s total liability is limited to the amount paid by you in the three (3) months preceding the claim.

10. Limited Role of the Platform

Fund Community First:

  • Acts as a limited payment collection agent
  • Remits funds to Campaign Creators as outlined on the platform
  • Does not manage campaigns
  • Does not guarantee use of funds
  • Is not responsible for campaign outcomes, rewards, or gift card redemption

11. Privacy

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, compliant with PIPEDA (Canada).

12. Eligibility

You must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide accurate and truthful information
  • Not engage in fraud, misuse, or platform abuse

13. Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of:

  • Province: Nova Scotia
  • Country: Canada

14. Consent

By completing any donation, sponsorship, or payment through the platform, you confirm that:

✔ You agree to be legally bound by them
✔ You consent to their legal effect
